Richard, Timothy & I; all hippyistic thinkers, I reckon. Peace & Love. All we need.

Hi there… Wednesday evening. Soon 9 pm. Gone to bed. But not so sleepy, as I dozed off in front of a webinar two hours ago… 🙂

WordPress has a new update, it looks all confusing on the screen here. It wants me to choose blocks… I was used to the old system… Big sigh…

Oh… “write caption”… Well. I just love Mr. Gere, he is a warmhearted thinker. That´s all. 🙂

Okay. Survived that. Weird this.

Hmmm. Well, ain´t got much to tell, really. Love the top picture, I´ve used for the heading. Made me think of my last post where I talk about the international women´s day party I´m helping organize, where I also wrote a little bit about the hippy movement´s peace activism. http://kaltwasser.dk/fanos-8-of-march-2019/

I think I will just leave you with today´s astro forecast by Timothy. I´ve shared these with you before. I find him immensely inspiring, and soothing in these times of such rapid change all around us. Listening to him explain his theory of how events and energies fit together, helps me remain calm and collected. Check him out if you haven´t already 🙂 :

Hmmm… I can see that one can´t click on the heading picture and see it properly? Used to be able to in the old version. I prefer the oooold waaayyy…. 🙂 Ah well. The only constant in life is change. So said Heraclit, the Greek wiseman. I´ll get used to it, and this too shall pass. Very assuring. 🙂 I will put the heading poster here as well, so you can read the words:

Caption in bold. Me digs. “Be the change you want to see in the world”. Gandhi said. He must be called a hippy. I think so must Buddha, and Jesus. Basically it´s about love,  isn´t it. To believe in unity, instead of separateness and competition.
Namaste.

Fanø’s 8. of March 2019

Facebook

Good “morning”, soon 10 AM here, been awake an hour. Fantastic to not be forced out of bed by alarm 0630, as on school days. It´s just not for me. I miss the years where I would go to bed 02-03 and wake up 10-11. Go to work 4pm-10 pm. In an old people´s home, and a statistics bureau… After work I´d go out with my colleagues, dancing or just hanging out in eachother´s homes. Good times. 🙂

I enjoy being the mother of 3 too, though, of course! I don´t mean to compare and I don´t long to go back to the bygones. There is a time for everything. Many shades of Love. (I´m not much into grey, sudden connotation popping up there).

Anyway. I just wanted to say a couple of words about today, and lost track in my greeting. Never mind. To be human is to be imperfect.

It is Saturday the 12. of January. I have a meeting at noon, with 3 people with whom I´m organizing a cultural event. On the 8.of March. International Women´s Day. Where we take a look at how equality between the genders is doing. Iceland just last year decided by law that women will be paid equally to men. LAST YEAR. And actually, they are the first country in the world to do this. !!!

Many people seem to think this is not a big deal. But. WHY exactly should one gender be paid more for their work than the other gender? Why is this reasonable? Please enlighten me because I can NOT understand it.

People say feminism is anti men, aggressive and out of fashion. I disagree. Feminism is about equality. For everyone. We are alle equal. Men and women, black and white, moslems and christians and atheists, gays and straights, tall and short, fat and thin, adult and child. No human being is inferior to other human beings.

Feminism is the opposite of fascism, one could say. As fascism believes in one group of people´s superiority over other groups.

(And yes, children have different rights than adults. But they are equal in value as a human being-entity. Is what I mean).

On the 8. of March 2019, we have booked Strien, which is the community building in our village. A very sweet, old and big space for holding parties. There is a bar, a kitchen, a stage, dancing hall (or dining), and one more big room.

We have booked a lovely local lady to cook tasty soups, that we will sell very cheap to the guests. (We don´t do this for profit making, but rather for strengthening bonds in our community, honouring the local history of strong women, as this was an island of sailors and ship building, and hence a lot of the time only the women and children were home whilst the fathers sailed away for years on end).

We will have a couple of good speeches from stage. The first local female mayor will speak, and an other woman whom I´ve forgotten who is. (Remember I don´t do this planning alone, we are 4). We also hope for an organization for all genders (more than 2) to come and tell us what they work towards. Local women will go on stage and dance, sing, read out their poems… stuff like that.

Last year I actually went on stage for the first ever 8.of March event organized here. I sang a song and I read out a rap that I had written especially for the day. 8.March 18.

It was organized by Ragnhild Kallehauge, who is also the initiator this year. And myself and our friend Julie Frey and Ragnhild. all went on stage twice each, in The Cornerbar, down the street. It was a lovely happening, actually. This year we scale it up, as it´s on a Friday this year… 🙂

One central element this year, is that there will be dancing. YEEEYYYYYY!! 🙂

We are creating a “Playlist for Every Taste”! And the participating guests can, upfront, send in their wishes for songs to be added to the playlist! This opportunity really ignites me. I have for years now been planning to make a reaggae party playlist, and add visuals. As I have done some vj-ing in Norway in my twenties (90s). I haven´t made this playlist – and – visuals yet. But in this event now, I get a round of practice, creating a list together with others. Looking forward to this process.

The event starts at 4 pm, with open soup kitchen and bar. And entertainment for children the first hour and a half. We want to include EVERYONE.

There are many more exciting ideas in the planning, but I don´t want to reveal more yet.

The theme colour will be pink. Not pastel, but very bright, dark pink.

🙂

We also have a Facebook group, called

Fanø´s 8.marts – Ja til Kvindekraft

https://www.facebook.com/groups/2233645963574458/

Ja til Kvindekraft means “Yes to Woman Power.” or maybe ” Yes to Female Power”.

Power is a very wide concept to work with. All kinds of strange connotations connected to this word. Force, brutality, obuse, making people do what they wouldn´t do if not manipulated…

Power means the ability to get something done. To have one´s will heard, listened to, respected. To be able to have one´s will. Influence. The energy to get ideas materialized into practical reality.

We could say “Yes to the Female Way of doing things”. Yes to the (traditionally considered) females values. Of caring and compassion, empathy. Consideration for the individual human´s well being more than consideration for private profits, paid for by the collective.

I know. We are all both female and male. In a unique, individual % wise balance. Some men are also way more empathic than some women. Myself, I consider myself androgynous, a balanced being both feminine and masculine. Identifying … 75%…? with the label “woman”, yet an odd one of the kind. Or not. Because who gets to decide what is odd and not odd?! Aren´t we all odd, really?

I fall in love with men. But I could probably also fall in love with a woman. It´s about personal connection, isn´t it. I view sexuality as a ray, somehow. A ray of energy that is not static. That can shift, according to the unique chemical connection between people. As opposed to box thinking, as if sexuality is a set of boxes we choose to belong to. The hetero box, the gay box. The bi box. Nice and simple. 🙂

I guess this is why some churches think they can heal sexual orientation. They think individuals choose which box to belong to. And hence they can be forced to change box.

I don´t think this is possible. I have a few gay friends. Who tell me they knew from childhood they were attracted to same sex puils in the  school class. And that this was very scary, as they knew they had to hide it from EVERYBODY. As it was not acceptable, and they would be bullied / hated for it.

So much for civilization.

Well.

I say yes to the feminine way of doing things. Yes to more women in leader positions. Let us consider the needs of mother earth and the future generations. Let us choose peace and love over war profits / weapon sales. Let´s be more gentle, listening, empathic, co operating people, in this inevitable globalization process that is happening to us. The Human Race. Unite!!!

I know, I just tipped into hippie political slogans there.

I am a feminist, and certainly do feel free to call me a hippy anytime you please. They were tried ridiculed. By the ones in power; because they were dangerous. They stopped the war in Vietnam.

I would like there to be made new labels.

I´m an EQUALIST.  !

If you have other suggestions for new words that would better cover my message than “feminist” and “hippy”, please let me know in the comments field below. I love to talk and discuss, matters of the heart. The matters that weigh me down, or lift me up. The matters that truely matter. That reside within my heart. Heart Matters.

🙂

I´ve gotta dash. Shower, breakfast and on to the meeting. Enjoy your Saturday! And remember; EVERYONE is very welcome to come celebrate international women´s day with us on Fanø, 08.03. 2019!

Happy new year, people!

All good? I hope so. Here good. Healthy and happy. Bit tired, but. Had a nice long holiday stretch, with plenty of rest (and tons of sugar). So. No complaints! 🙂

(Sounds like a good new year resolution, that last sentence).

I love January. It´s so quiet and… post explosion like. Peaceful, calm. We deserve rest now after christmas and new year´s celebrations are accomplished. Taken a lot of preparations. Money and work hours. Where I live, many shop owners go on holiday in January, as they work all Summer servicing our island´s many visiting tourists. This means that those of us who stay home in January, get an even more quiet January, where most shops and restaurants are actually closed until February some time.

I enjoy this. Contrast between all the visitors in the tourist season (from easter until October, and then there´s guests in the xmas holiday as well, I´ve seen this trend increasing the last few years…).

I love it when all the people come to spend holidays here. And I also love it when the streets yet again become empty and there´s lots of room in the grocery store, and everyone says hello to each other coz we know we are all just locals present right now, for the time being… 🙂

I did a major thing on the 3. of January. To me. It´s not a major thing to everybody. But to me it took weeks of thinking about whether to to it, and then a few tries before I managed to. Share, in public, the first ever video of myself talking into the camera.

I chose to make a promo video for my facebook page: Kaltwasser Vocal Sound Therapy. In the form of a give-away, so people who comment can win a sound session with me, or a copy of my book.

Look, here it is:

So what´s the big deal about posting such a video in public? Well, It´s about mindset. Choosing to stand by myself as an imperfect being, doing imperfect actions. I could shoot this video better, with a better background, better lighting, make it shorter. I could have made a presentation that started with a big smile, and where I seemed professional, well prepared, serious and…. yeah. The critical mind really takes off when I watch myself on video.

But I have decided that the winning criteria when publishing myself on video, is whether I am authentic. No pretense. Real deal. I could have wished that I had ben more relaxed in this one, and maybe presented vocal sound therapy a tad more… in depth… BUT.

I MADE IT. I DID IT. I managed to make the debut following my idea of a xmas / new year´s give-away. And hence I applaud myself. 🙂

I am planning to use video in creating information products for a future online space I plan to create. I also practice using video with this fantastic lady here, from Ireland:

She has a space on the web called Light It Up videomarketing, name is Niamh Arthur. Her free 22 day video challenge “Ignite”, really taught me a lot, and after that, I joined her course. I have worked with video actively ever since 1999… but not with myself in front of the camera. So it is nice to get her help on becoming confident enough to dare to share. I need to understand, to be conscious about the parametres of a field, before I want to claim competency. I now feel I am competent enough to know roughly what I am doing. This is good enough for me.

I will keep practicing from here and hence I will get better at both the technical stuff, the mindset stuff and my personal appearance as a trust worthy, proud and competent therapist / teacher. It’s not that I don´t feel good at what I do. I DO. It´s just a bit difficult to get up on the world wide stage and present myself as a brand, so to speak. Selling, marketing. Is a skill I don´t quite master yet. But until I do, I shall keep making lots of imperfect actions. Is my major decision.

Yeah, so. I AM moving forward. Making imperfect action, as my VBS teacher Ryan encourages us to do.

Tonight I actually have a zoom meeting with my VBS mastermind group. We are 5 fellow students, one from the Phillipines, one from Turkey, one from Colorado (/Israel), one from Montreal Canada, and myself from Denmark (/Norway). All of us wanting to move into online teaching.

Basically. It is a process that demands a lot. Of conquering fear. Our human reptile brains don´t want us to step out of the group, the pack, In the stone age this was very dangerous; to risk the public´s dislike. You would be excluded from the group and you would die. From lack of protection when ill, lack of food, and easily falling prey to wild animals. So this instinct has to be understood and then we have to act against the warnings the nervous system comes up with.

Then there´s also the more general fear of what others will think of me when I stand up in public and say “Hey, listen to this, I have something really valuable to tell you!” … One thing is the strangers watching online, but my family, and the local community when I share a video of myself on my facebook wall, visible to my neighbours, colleagues, parents of my children´s friends… This action goes completely against the law of Jante. Which says (amongst other paragraphs): “Do not believe you are better than US”   …. Like, “who do you think you are?!”

Being frowned upon, being met with sarcasm, scorn… We all know this feeling from our childhood, of being judged as inferior or ridiculous. It´s not something one strives to receive again, is it.

Yeah. It isn´t easy. But with the excellent support structures I have found, and invested my time and (borrowed) money in… I am indeed moving forward. So. That´s all I want to say.

Please leave a comment if you have a question or remark on my first “selfie video” or on this issue. You can also join the draw of winning a sound session or a book. I will find the 2 winners on the last day of January, I have decided. Just leave a comment below my youtube video, or even better, on my facebook page “Kaltwasser Vocal Sound Therapy”. I would really appreciate that. Also, I would love more subscribers on my Youtube Channel, and more thumbs up on my facebook page. As I am building up this online space thing.

Peace & Love, y’all.

Lots of Love!

🙂
